Tamarind Gum proposed for use in unstandardized foods and certain standardized foods

Health Canada has issued a notice of proposal to enable the use of Tamarind Gum as an emulsifying, gelling, stabilizing and thickening agent in Unstandardized foods and certain standardized foods.
